Who I am.
This website is run by Sandwich Business, a sole-trader business. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@sandwichbusiness.co.uk or 07449 303889. You can ask us at any time for the name of the person responsible and we will tell you.
What I collect.
- What you type into the contact form: name, address, town, postcode, phone, email, whether you have WhatsApp, and your message
- What you send by email, WhatsApp or phone, including any attachments
- Standard server logs (IP address, page requested, browser, time) kept by my host for security and basic analytics
What I do not collect.
- No third-party advertising cookies
- No tracking pixels (Facebook, Google Ads, etc.)
- No newsletter subscription pop-ups
- No analytics that profile you across sites
Why I have it, and the legal basis.
I use what you send me to reply to your enquiry, scope work, send a quote, and (if we agree to work together) deliver the project. The legal basis is "legitimate interest" for replying to enquiries and "contract" once we are working together. Standard server logs are kept on legitimate-interest grounds for security.
How long I keep it.
- We keep a record of enquiries, chats and our dealings with you. If you would like your own record deleted, contact us at hello@sandwichbusiness.co.uk and we will do it.
- Active client correspondence: kept while we work together, plus 6 years after the last invoice (HMRC requirement)
Who else sees it.
I use a small number of third parties to run the business. They only see what they need to:
- An email delivery service (email delivery) - sends the contact-form message to my inbox
- Our UK web hosting provider (web host) - runs the website and keeps server logs
- Google Workspace - email and calendar
- WhatsApp - if you message that way, Meta processes the message under their terms
- HMRC and my accountant - for invoices that become tax records
I do not pass your details to anyone for marketing.
Website statistics.
We count visits to this site, for statistics only, using our own counting tool. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. For each page view it records the page, the site you came from, any campaign label in the link you used, your country (approximate) and whether the visitor looks like a person or a robot. To count unique visitors it uses an identifier. We do not share this data with anyone except our hosting provider, which stores it on our behalf. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If you click 'Don't count my visits' in the footer, we remember your choice in this browser with one small local-storage flag called na_ignore; our counter stores nothing else in your browser. You can object at any time using the link in the footer, or contact us at hello@sandwichbusiness.co.uk. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our site.
Your rights.
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see what I hold, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@sandwichbusiness.co.uk and I will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies.
The site itself does not set any cookies. If you choose 'Don't count my visits', we store one small flag in your browser's local storage, described under Website statistics. If anything else ever changes (for example, if I add a payment processor), this notice will be updated and a banner will appear on first visit.

If I change anything significant, the date at the top will be updated and the change will be noted here.
